Guest Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Hi I have just uploaded cart and admin to server chmod the two files then tried to log on to yourserver/catalog/install this is the error message I am receiving 'FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!' I have looked though postings and tried install/install.php install/index.php I think it has something to do with the fact that php is not in this root directory with my ISP but runs in the mySQL directory- different machine and connection but being a bit thick I may be wrong <_< . Help please

Help please You might try the following Register globals The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Guest Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Thanks Richard I have read downloaded the file and read the 'READ ME' and the forum contributions. I am not sure if I want to go this route. It seems that I will be taking away some of the security mesures that are in place on my server, am I correct? and if this is the case can anyone tell me when the 'register globals' issue is going to be removed from 'milestone' I would like to use this cart and if it's not going to be along time I will wait :(
