error at beginning of the installation

did anybody know what's wrong?

 

I'm getting this error when I try to go on http://<thehost>.tld/shop/install/

are you installing to a *nix or windows server.

Is your Osc dated try Phoenix  raising oscommerce from the ashes.

I have the same problem. Using install.php on the end of the link does'nt work too. By the way i am runing unix type system. Please help, and sorry for my english:DD

Here are some additional informations to the server:

- Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) DAV/1.0.3 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.7c

- suPHP

- PHP 4.3.6 (cgi)

 

I hope that it can help, to find a solution of my problem.
