Ok I think I'm getting closer to having a fully functional site. If any of you could go in make some test purchases etc while the default products are there etc I would appreciate it. I hope to start tomorrow with loading my own stuff up there but want all the bugs out before I do!

Looks fine to me. But I wonder where the goodies are sent to!!? Maybe you can find a feature to check zipcodes and a kind of adres check.

He's wondering if there's an address validation contribution to make sure a user is legitimate.

 

I would just suggest this to him:

 

Don't ship an order until you have been fully paid. IE if it is a check/money order, only ship to the address on the check. If it is PayPal, only ship to the PayPal address, etc.

 

I'm not too fond of the address book feature osc has built in. I'm still trying to decide for myself whether I want to only allow one address per customer or leave it at 5 addresses as it is right now.

You should block some of your folders from being indexed. For example: http://www.mysticbluesgifts.com/images. It helps to prevent someone from snooping around or downloading files.

 

You can use .htaccess with the 'Options -Indexes' option. Or just create a empty file named index.html in that folder.

ok the index.html file worked good for me in catalog/images when i put it in ftp it kept changing to index.html.txt and would not work but after i renamed it to index.html it works really slick but now what other folders should we do this on if you might tell us? thanks bluepony you allways give such good help thanks a lot
