Does anyone know a good way to search the category descriptions as well as the product ones? johnk Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 I installed that contribution but it's not running at this very moment so I can't test it for you. I thought the contribution included code to update the advanced search feature and maybe the standard search feature as well, in fact I'm sure it did. The best thing to do id throw in a unique word like "xxxx" in one of your short descriptions and try both the normal and advanced search. You may be in for a surprise. John
johnk Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 Please ignore the above reply. I had categories text mixed up with brief product description. You will have to extend the db query in advanced_search_result.php. It covers both search boxes.
