Guest Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 Hello, I just installed oscommerce for the first time. I can reach the user interface with no problems, but when I try the following url to reach the admin interface: https://host190.ipowerweb.com/~classic-/ecommerce/os/admin/default.php I get the following error message: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'mysql@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/classic-/public_html/ecommerce/os/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I have no idea how to fix this problem. Any help is appreciated. Scott

Acheron Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 Before you even get any further, just wanted to check with you and make sure you are not using iPower's automated osC install. I've been down that road, don't take it. :)
241 Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 well I would guess yes to that as it is an earlier version of oscommerce based on the fact that the file is called default.php rather than index.php No longer giving free advice. Guest Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 I renamed index.php to default.php in the catalog and admin sections in order for the html links within ipowerweb's vdeck to work. I can access the user interface but still can't get the admin interface. Can anyone out there point me to a reputable forum member that will fix this for me for a small fee? Someone named "arnie" emailed me advertising services but did not leave an email address. Thanks, Scott
