What is the "product_url" field for?

 

Is there somewhere you can buy or download a book on oscommerce?

The product_url provides you with the mechanism to have a "standard" URL to a page of information ANYWHERE (your site, or somewhere else) that the customer click on and get additional product information.

 

As far as books.......Wiki documentation and this Forum are quite good.

The product_url is the page that you supply/link to for more information...usually a manufacturer's website.
