osCommerce

The e-commerce.

which files to move to httpsdoc

I have used plesk to install oscommerce and it has placed it in httpdocs.

I need to get it working with SSL so I need to move certain files to httpsdoc and change some configuration.

Luckily there is a move file/directory option under plesk.

Could somebody list the files that need to be moved and any configuration options that may need to be altered?

it all depends upon how your host has setup the filesystem, not what files need to be in your httpsdocs. if the host set it up properly, to make it easier on you, you will not need to place anything in your httpsdocs folder. if they did it the other way, then you will need duplicate items in both folders is the easiest way. which means that if you have something hard coded for http://whatever.com/whatever, in the httpsdocs folder it will need to be hardcoded to https://whaterer.com/whatever so you need to pose this question to your host, as this is a hosting/server setup issue.

thanks

it is setup so everything in httpdoc can be viewed via http://whatever.xyz

and every thing in httpsdoc is view via https://whatever.xyz.

i guess having a copy in each folder would be easy and edit paths in confiure.php

but a waste of space as only only source of certain files will ever be used.

and i would have to remove the admin from httpdoc so the mistake of using the non secure version could never happen

it sould be setup so only pages that need to be secure are in https and are accessed via https:// the rest can be in httpdoc accessed via http://
