how to add custom product cost

Hello friends,

I am new to oscommerce. I know a bit of PHP. I partner my uncle in his printing business. I am installing oscommerce for my printing business. We want to sell our products and also custom products that we print like business cards and t-shirts, wedding cards and many.

What I am looking to do in oscommerce, is some how and final price of the product not the quantity and product ID. Is that possible?

I will explain the case,

We allow our customers to upload their own design as a .gif, jpeg and .psd file. Then by filling a simple form user selects some colors, and enters quantity that he/she wants. Now the cost for this printing will vary based on the colors on the design, which colors are there and the quantity that the user ordered. I developed a php that calculates the cost. But now I am not finding a way to add this custom cost to the cost.

 

I tried the attribute way, but its not working since the cost is too much varied.

 

 

How can I do that? Any suggestions? Any module that I can use? Or if you help me on how I can do it, I will try myself and may be contribute to community I know fairly about php and class?
