MysticBlues
Okay, I have set up two different shipping modules. One for continental USA, and the other for Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. I do not understand at all how to set the zones so each module applies to it's respective areas. In each modules drop down menu I only have two options from which to choose. They are -none- and Florida. I need to know how to make the charges apply to their respective areas and to block purchases from outside these areas. Any and all help here (as simplified as possible) would be appreciated mucho! I am so close to finishing the master copy and need to get open and online by 6/1. Thanks
TerryK
Did you use the zones.php file found in the /modules/shipping folder? Or did you install the states regions contribution? If you used the former, I'm not sure that it will distinguish states, as I believe it is based on assigning country codes. Using the states-based regional zones contribution it should be fairly easy to set up. MysticBlues
I am using flat rate for the continental USA and table rate for alaska, hawaii, guam, virgin islands, and puerto rico. I don't understand why the drop down menu only offers me 2 choices, -none- and florida. Where would I set up the other?
TerryK
I don't know why you can't get what you're using working, but you could try using the states-based regions contribution. I modified a Canadianized version to combine with the regular zones shipping, so I can't remember exactly what features were offered, but it seems to me that flat rate was one of them. If not, you could set it up as weight-based with a really high weight limit for the flat rate for continental USA, then a separate weight/cost table for the balance.
