Try this one Install Docs Basically you ftp the files to your web server, change the permissions of the two configure.php files to 777 includes/configure.php admin/includes/configure.php create a database and user. run the install script and enter in your databse info. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
MysticBlues Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 That documentation tells everything you need to know to install oscommerce. Do you have a specific question or did you encounter an error?
agiftcodotcom Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 You will need to make sure you have a SQL database to attach your store to and you might want to use an SSL certificate as well. Many host provide both of those with their plans and some hosts even provide OSC wth click/install simplicity, you may want to see if your host offers OSC before you go through the trouble of installing it manually.
