dappleyard Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 Hi There Does anyone know if there is a contribution released to allow different attributes of a product to have a different quantity/stock level? I want to be able to tell the system that we only have (for example) '5 red coats in stock, but 3 blue ones'. Any help would be appreciated Cheers
dappleyard Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 Come on guys... please? - Anyone know of anything?
ryanf Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 take a look at master products If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
Chris Dunning Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 QTPro claims to do it, but not many people have successfully used it. I also recommend Master Products. Guest Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I mikimoused something from master products, does not work yet but getting there, the idea is still the same as master products, but i add slave products to drop down box, it's pain in the ass but cannt figure out something better yet Frugal,
dappleyard Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 That would be the exact thing I am looking for - Do you have any idea how long it's likely to take before it's ready for release?
Guest Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 Well, if i stop playing online poker i might finish it sooner :), the way i do is total total hack of master products, even i cannt remember all thing i changed and added, after i done i will make sourceavailable to download and after that everybody on they own , i have very limited knowledge about php sql an other crap :)
escv Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 I installed QTPro from this contribution: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ll/search,qtpro and got it to work perfectly. It allows me to add multiple options (size & color) and then add inventory based on these attributes. The contributions above isn't put together well since you really need to start from the first upload and then work through to the newset. I am planning on compiling a complete one in the near future and uploading it for all to use.
pyella Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Rob, QTPro helped me as well, but now I'm trying to show the stock quantity when updating quantity in shopping cart (shouldn't be a guessing game). Also I'm trying to display only one thumbnail for the same product and underneath the product description the attribute values (in my case sizes). Have you already made these changes ? Or did anyone else ? Perry If it ain't broke, don't touch it.
