2sillyladies
I've trying to install OScommerce now for a while. I'm stumped! I have the files loaded in a subdomain 2sillyladies.com/test . I have tried using the installer but all I get is a blank page. Yahoo will only let you use phpmyadmin. Should I set up the database there first? I think I need basic baby steps here.... :(
Guest
1> copy the catalog to you ROOT_ 2> Create a Database lets say you name it silly_data, password: mypassword 3>when you modify the configure.php file located in catalog/includes/ directories at the very bottom you will again, place the name of your database, in this case silly_data and of course password: mypassword and remember the host of your database is named localhost, since your host, http://www.youriste.com is local and hosting the database, Hope to at least get you beyond the Successful connection
2sillyladies
Thanks for your quick response...I will try what you have suggested. One thing before I start...yahoo does not let you do anything through desktop. Is it still localhost ?
nrlatsha
Do a search on the forums for yahoo. They have a secure folder you have to put all the secure files into for https connections. I don't know if there is a fix on the board, but I used yahoo for about a week until I got tired of having no control... 9 times out of 10 its a PEBCAK Error (Problem exists between chair and keyboard) Replace that and you're fine...
