I am getting the following error and it's asking me to do something that I have NO IDEA how to do or what it means. Can someone help me in newbie language?

Here's the error:

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

Please perform the following actions:

cd /u/htdocs/ppshea/catalog/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /u/htdocs/ppshea/catalog/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

Thanks!!

Thank you so much for responding. How do I use my FTP software to do this? I don't understand what it means by permission levels.

Thanks!

It depends on your ftp program. If you study a file in your program you'll probably find a menu item or suchlike which will let you change permissions.

I use AceFTP. The only thing I can readily find is when I highlight the file, then click "properties".. there's a CHMOD Value that has "644" in it. It's a text box that allows that number to be changed. Is this it?

Maybe someone else is familiar with AceFTP? <_<

Thanks!
