Guest Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Trying to do some n00b-style SEO for my site and when I enable "Use Search-Engine Safe URLS" - my product links produce 404's. I do use the STS Template system, but not much else that I think would cause a failure like this one. Any ideas?
agiftcodotcom Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 You don't need to enable the SE safe URLS. They can read it without it now. Do enable Prevent Spider Sessions so that spiders don't "go shopping". Contributions I used : Updated 06-13-04 23:42 ---------------- Vote on My Graphis Poll
Guest Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Thanks for the fast reply - I've noticed that I've never really ranked at all for the name of my company (which is unique), my site has been visited by spiders, but they have never really indexed me. My url showed up for about 2 weeks, then disappeared from the results altogether. The good news is that I rank high in Froogle for my search terms. I've heard from some folks that submitting your feed to Froogle will get your site taken out of regular search results? Any truth to this rumor?
