Problems w/option types - HELP!!

We're desperate. We have Product Attributes Copier, Master Products and Option Types installed. The cart overall is working great with two major exceptions:


1. Attribute types for attributes that are text do not show up at checkout, order confirmation, in the admin, or in the e-mail sent of the order.


For example, I have one text attribute called Personalization. The attribute is set up correctly as far as I can tell, but in the cart it does not show up as Personalization: John Doe (or whatever), it only shows up as John Doe. Whereas the attributes that are governed by select (drop downs) - like Color - show up with both the attribute name and value - for example, Color: Black.


This wouldn't be that big of a problem, except that this cart has LOTS of personalization, etc., so each needs to be labeled so we know where each individual item goes.


2. Product options are not always showing up in order. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. These are notecards that have little people on them and the people are customizable in a number of ways. There can be up to five people on a large card. So that the artist knows how to make the card, it is imperative that the options show up in the correct order. It needs to list all the attributes for Character 1, then all the attributes for Character 2, then all the attributes for Character 3, etc. etc. Most of the time it seems to be listing them *almost* exactly backwards...if it were *exactly* backwards, it wouldn't be that bad, IF the labels for all the fields were showing up (see problem above). As of now, we can't be SURE that the attributes that are listed together BELONG together because not all of them are labelled.

OK everyone, let's put it this way...


Exactly what controls the order of how attributes are listed, in the check-out process? E.g., in the order confirmation part? And on the receipt?


Everything appears in the correct order in the pre-login shopping cart. However once the customer logins, the order of the attributes changes.


So where is this controlled?
