Guest
Hey all... i'm new to easypopulate and so far i've really liked the features. The problem i have is that i have a few "main" catagories that have 3 tiers underneath it. What will happen is that when the products in the "4th level" shows up in the easypopulate download, the catagories have shifted over.... getting rid of the 1st main catagory. This poses a big problem when i want to reupload with the corrected data, as i am unable to load anything into a 4th level catagory. Is there a way to get easypopulate to accept more than 3 catagory levels and if so, how? i've been searching the forums for a while now trying to find someone with similar problems, but i can only assume i'm using the right terms in this regaurd as i'm coming up short. If anyone out there can help me or point me to a FAQ that i might have missed on this subject, i'd be very grateful!!
Guest
if you read what the readme / docs state, they state to read the easypopulate.php file, as it has lots of variables you can change, one being the # of categories. the next time you post on EP, please place in the EP thread in the contributions, do not start another thread. Guest
well... thanks for the quick reply... as i didn't honestly know what i was looking for when i was in the easypopulate.php file originally i didn't know that's what it did :) i'm rather new to php and all of us have a few goofy questions at first i'm sure... but sure enough, i changed 3 to 7 and it works just peachy! also, I LOOKED for the contribution thread, however, after searching forever for it, i gave up... i used both the search option and checked 10 pages into this forum without seeing.... i'll be happy to post there in the future if you kindly show me where it is :) again, thanks for the help... :) I hope to start learningmore about both OS Commerce and some of the great contributions i've found through the site
