Guest Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 So can you tell me how I can get mine to look like yours?
joeyjgarcia Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 I guess nobody cares who it is powered by. Copyright Policy Although osCommerce is released under the GNU General Public License, we do enforce our copyright rights concerning the osCommerce solution. This means that, while you have considerable freedom to modify and redistribute osCommerce, there are conditions placed on the osCommerce copyright notices. The osCommerce copyright announcement displayed on the Administration Tool of osCommerce complies with section 2c of the GNU General Public License (GPL) and thus can not be removed, or may only be appropriately modified. It is not the intention of the osCommerce Administration Tool copyright announcement to claim rights or contest your rights to work written entirely by you; rather, the intent is to exercise the right to control the distribution of derivative or collective works based on osCommerce. It is entirely within your right however to add to the copyright notice to claim rights on the changes you have made. The osCommerce copyright announcement displayed on the Catalog module of osCommerce can, however, be modified, and even removed, if the layout of the site theme has been modified to distinguish itself from the default osCommerce-copyrighted theme. Please note that the osCommerce Administration Tool copyright announcement must still exist regardless if the default osCommerce-copyrighted Administration Tool theme has been modified. The separate text "Powered by osCommerce", or similar text, displayed on both Administration Tool and Catalog modules is optional to have displayed.
