I have a new site http://www.canada-sports-supplement.com/ but its not live yet, but pretty much finished... I think. :)

It loads rather slow for me in some situations, esp. when browsing to a category page or a manufacturer page with multiple products. The loading time seems fine when loading just individual product pages... its just the category and manufacturer pages that are slow to load. I've optimized images, gzip set on 1, cache turned on, dunno what else to do to help the speed.

All suggestions welcome!

Thank you! :D

For a fairly stock osc, it looks pretty good. I like it.

The only things I saw that you should change are the buttons. You have the blue buttons on your yellow and red layout and it just doesn't flow. That was my only gripe!

thanks for the suggestion!

just wondering, how was the loading speed for you dave? esp. when browsing the categories and "shop by brand" links?

Thanks.

Hello,

Store looks nice. It loads fine for me here although there was a brief delay for about 4 seconds.

I have no such thing as slow pages..... (1.5g connection)

There was a delay when selecting categories of about 3 seconds for me, which by comparison may be 10 times slower for dialup. Are you preloading images before changing the page? That is what it looks like, and that would be where the delay is coming. That is a matter of preference. I myself would prefer that the page load and then the images pop in, but that is just my opinion.

Try to find someone with dialup and you will find the real load time..... I am going to guess that some of your pages may take upwards of 30 seconds to load.

i've optimize the imgs as best as I could, but that could be a good reason why some pages load slow... :(

I'm not sure if I have the site setup to load everything then show, or load content, then images after...

How can i set it up so that the site loads just the layout/text etc.. then the images as they are loaded? How do I stop the preloading of images?

THanks!
