iamclogger Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 I tried editing catalog//includes/languages/english/index.php within osCommerce's file manger. I wanted to edit MAIN_TEXT and anytime I change any part of the text and update the file I get an error message and the only way to correct it is to re-upload the index.php file. Any suggestions on how to remove the default main page text?
vasttech Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 There is an open bug report with the OSC file manager. Your best bet is to download any file you want to edit and use notepad or some other editor to make changes, then upload the file back to the server. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
iamclogger Posted May 25, 2004 Author Posted May 25, 2004 Nevermind... I was trying to edit the index.php file within File Manager...didn't know I had to change the wording using the "Define Language" options in the admin. I think that's hard to find.
