Discount not showing up at Total

:unsure: i'm very to new to the oscommerce site and still have a lot to learn. We have a site built for a client however there is one problem left unsolved and through searches I have not been able to find the solution.

 

When you view products it shows the 20% discounted price, however when you go through checkout it does not calculate in the discount, it only shows regular price and charges that to the customer.

 

I didn't set the global discount on the site so I'm not sure what the other person used to make the 20% show up when viewing the products and I have on clue what I need to do or add so that the discount is calculated during checkout.

 

any help is greatly appreciated. :D
