domaky
Dear All, I'm struggling with an odd problem here. The site I'm working on (http://www.topelwines.com/order) displays the ups shipping rates all correct if compared to the rates calculated on the ups web site ("estimate shipping cost and time"). Now, my client has an account with ups ("ups online world ship"). They pay a bi-weekly fee and get in return a considerably lower rate. eg. two parcels (42lbs each) from California to Illinois is $83.40 regular price but only $52 when shipped with the world ship account. Low shipping cost is an incentive to order, and I really would like to display the lower shipping rate. I tried to find an answer on the ups site, talked to two people at ups, and they could not help. :-( Has anybody had the same problem and how did you solve it? Shall I just not display any shipping rates at all? Or reduce the shipping cost by about 35% to get close to what is actually paid for shipping? Thanks a huge bunch for all thoughts on this! :-) :: doris B)
mugitty
What do you have the UPS Pickup Method set to in your UPS Module configuration? I did a test on 2 42# packages from ZIP 94567 (Pope Valley, CA) to ZIP 60659 (Chicago, IL) on the UPS site: When the package pickup method is set as "Customer Center", the rate for ground is $87.20; when set as "Daily Pickup", the rate for ground is $56.10 Check your module - if the UPS Pickup Method is set as "CC", try changing it to "RDP" and see if that gets you closer to where you want to be. ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! Guest
Hello Domaky, I am integrating UPS worlship as well to my site so I can streamline the shipping label process. i was told that worldship take the delivery address of each order and automatically prints it out on a shipping label. Currently I have to go through each order and type the weight and delivery address. the UPS tech support said a csv file with all this information needs to be generated by os commerce and sent to my UPS worldship account. My developer said he does not know how to do this. Were you successful in figuring this out? Please help!!!! thank you
