set the right user permissions

this error showed on the top op the oscommerce.

 

how i edit for admin user nam and password ?

I have the same problem. Did you discover a solution for this?

 

Someone told me it was the permission settings for the file and that it should be 644 or 444.

 

I tried both settings and the message did not go away. Any luck?

Still has not removed the message. If the file is set to 644 is there a way to remove that message? Is this an error in osCommerce or is there a problem on my end?

I removed the check for this error so that it doesn't show up. I assume that since the file refrenced is chmod 644 there is not the security issue.

 

Unless someone can help me solve the problem why the error message will not go away after chmod the file correctly, I guess this will have to do for now.
