point of sales solution (pos epos)

Hi

I have searched the forum and contributions but have found little information for point of sales solutions. There is a contribution but this does not really cover all aspects and had some strange licence inclusions with it. So I intend to produce a contribution with help from the information I gather from this thread.

 

Some questions:

1. what hardware do you use

2. is your solution oscommerce integrated

3. what does your solution provide in functionality

4. what functionality would you like to see

5. your experiences with pos (in the field and the solution you use)

6. ideas for inclusion for development of the contribution

 

Thats enough for starters. Please post any thoughts on the subject you may have. I hope to provide a contribution within the month.

Its a great idea to have an all in one solution!

POS inclusion would definetely be great! We have to think of a way to link the future POS module to generate report to extract to different accounting software(Quickbooks, Simply Accounting,etc) probably in .txt format since the majority of accounting software I know can import such a file.

 

Or even integrated an accounting system for OSCommerce...wow! I know that OSSuite.com was working on a suite like that but this Open Source Community seems VERY QUIET! Anyway, a lot of work in perspectives.

The contribution referenced cannot be found. However, I would like to let you know that osSuite is now back in development. Hopefully we will have a working release within the next 1-2 weeks.
