Coon
Hello, I'm the webmaster of http://www.soccergrip.com/ and I'm wanting to make the site less wide so that it does not create horizontal scroll bars for 800x600 resolutions. To achive this I got rid of the "Shorts" tab button and redesigned my page so that everything else looks about the same. However, now I'm having major trouble putting it back into the page. When I add the new images there are gaps between each little image in the top and so on. It looks very messey. What would be the easiest way to correct this? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks for reading. :)
djs
Your header image is broken up into several columns. When you remove the 'shorts' image, you have a problem in that row since it has 1 fewer columns than the other table rows. This layout was originally done in a layout program (photoshop, dreamweaver, whatever), and the simplest thing to do is to go back to the original files and modify it there, rather than trying to fix it in the html. If you need to fix the html, you'll have to add a colspan tag to something else in the same <tr> row, to make up for the <td> cell you are deleting. This likely will not shrink the width by itself.
