Broken my PHP

I tried installing a contribution that puts the Comodo Assured Instant SSL logo on the secure pages of my shop, but the whole thing broke and there was one file mentioned in the readme that wasn't in my catalog director (catalog/default.php) so I couldnt add the script to that file.

I replaced all the amended files with the originals, but now all my defined field names are showing up as HEADER_TITLE_TOP etc. I've looked all over to find how to put this right, but can't find anything. I know they are defined in english.php but why is my shop not parsing the data?

Default.php was used in an older version of osC. You should always look to see what version a contribution is compatitable with before installing it. I hope you backed your site/files up before your install.

My best guess is that you have placed english.php within the english directory rather than the languages directory - or you have accidentally uploaded the admin side file to the catalog languages.

Well, whatever was wrong with that, I've uploaded a backup and all the defined fields are displaying properly again.
