Guest Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 I can't use .htaccess because i use windows server 2003... what should i do?
Guest Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 .htaccess is a file that gets used by apache. I am pretty sure that a secure like that is also built into IIS. But I can't give more comments on that since I do not run windows but linux Richard :D
nrlatsha Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Its been a little while since I've used IIS, but you can just use folder and file permissions along with denying access to everyone in IIS, except a user you setup to get to the folder. 9 times out of 10 its a PEBCAK Error (Problem exists between chair and keyboard) Replace that and you're fine...
Guest Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 when i remove the user NETWORK, it doesnt work... I removed iusr and you can still access it... i have to have network for the page to work... when network is gone, i can still login with the dreamwayonline user name i have (it gives a popup).. but then when you click any of the links in there, it gives a no input specified so then i havve to put network back and it works...just not authentication ideas?
