California county/zip based sales tax

I Downloaded these two mods and had troubles right away. When inserting the MySQL items, there were some duplicates. So I went in and looked at what they were and manually added/changed those.

 

Then I edited all the of the 4 modules. Checked them 3 times. When I do a test checkout, I get TWO sales taxes! i.e.

 

8.25% + 7.75%

 

and I'm charged the 16+%. I started all over by emptying the pertinent tables, and re-inserting the stock OSCommerce data then the mods data. Same exact situation.

 

On top of that, when I sign up as a new user, the STATE dropdown shows like a hundred "CA"'s!

 

It must be something I'm doing, but I'm not sure. Anyone using this successfully? My OSCommerce version is the most recent as of this date.
