I this field I put that string and I set my product quantity to zero and I even tried changing the status to Out Of Stock. The product either shows up like normal, with a price next to it or it doesn't appear at all. I'd like to have to show "Back Ordered" when the quantity is zero. Thanks, Joey
TerryK Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 With the standard stock check in osC, I believe it will only show the 'Out of Stock' message (which you can change to read 'Back Ordered' in /catalog/includes/languages/english.php) during the checkout process. There is a Product Availability contribution that you can use to display a stock status on the product_info.php page. You can see it in action by viewing any of the product pages on my site (click the WWW link below). I'm using it in conjunction with the standard stock message, so if I run out of stock before I get a chance to update the product availability status for an item, it will still show at checkout.
