I had a breakthrough with my ssl, I feel kinda stupid now.

 

For those of you having a problem displaying your padlock after your ssl certificate has been installed. When the popup asks to display non secure objects, select "NO".

 

I was able to find the linked images causing the problem and put them on my server instead.

 

This took care of my padlock issue and also any popups I had.

Took until 3am to figure it out, newbie time.

 

I hope this helps someone, someone in another forum mentioned clicking on "NO"
