phad3rs Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Hey everyone, I'm running OSC2.2MS2 and I just installed the Custom Computer mod, but the problem is my webhost is 1and1, and I have no idea how to upload files the MySQL database, it says: "Your MySQL databases are stored behind a firewall to protect your data. You can only access each one exclusively through your server. Direct access to your MySQL databases using a home PC (external ODBC connection) cannot be established. " Anyone know how to actually install this with a setup like mine <_< . Thanks.
♥yesudo Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 contact your host and see what they suggest. Your online success is Paramount.

There's lots of osC sites running on 1&1 servers. All they're telling you is that you can't connect directly to the db from an external server. It has no effect on the store at all. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
lando Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 1and1 will tell you to d/l phpMyAdmin for all of your db work. Go into their help section and run a search for phpMyAdmin, they have a page that will tell you exactly how to install it on their server. Very easy to install.
