Guest Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 hello! my name is James McDaniel and my brother and I are starting a speaker company. The name of it is Stolen Audio (nothing is stolen) are logo is Legal Equipment at Stolen Prices. We are waiting on the last thing before we can start selling items. Our wholesaler catalog. (by the way we want this to be an online store) I was thinking I would just creat an Ebay store and sell through there, even though it is not as good as OS Commerce. I tried to set something up at www.stolenaudio.com/store but I am wayy to confused. I look at websites such as www.bustedtees.com and I know they use OS Commerce as their website store. How did they change the layout to that that it is? Also how do I except creditcards and stuff like that!!! Is there just a company I could pay to set us up a store that we could continue to operate? (i need info on line accepting creditcards, getting the information, shipping ect Thanks for any info!!! James McDaniel!

burt Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Consider purchasing a pre-made skin for Oscommerce. Have a search in Google, there are lots of sites selling these (though quality and prices vary). The Busted Tees site was probably quite expensive, but you'd be able to get something somewhat like that fairly cheaply. Taking payments: Paypal 2CheckOut are two cheap ways to accept Card Payments. Got more money? Look at www.worldpay.com, and www.protx.com (if you are in the UK).
