agc Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I have tried os commerce and it is very nice and functional. However, I need to integrate a shopping chart into an existing web site. I am looking for recommendations from those experienced with osCommerce. Would I be better off using a different shopping cart intended to integrate with an existing web site? Any recommendations as to products to use? My alternative would be to integrate existing web functions into an osCommerce solution as new pages. It is written in PHP, and not that big, so this is a viable option. Any recommendations as to how hard this is? is there documentation on how to do this? Thanks for the help agc
chrisstylez Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 integrating OSC into an existing site can be both difficult and easy at the same time. If you have an exsisting template for your website I would suggest simply installed the STS (Simple Template System) by diamondsea this way you could replicate the design of your site so visitors wouldnt be the wiser. also if you are using some form of CMS script for your website such as mambo, e107, and Xoops to name a few they already have Oscommerce "plugins" if you want to call it that. lol so it makes things alot easier.
