VerySinful Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 B) Ok first off I am new to this forum and OSCommerce. However, after several searches, etc. I thought I had this figured out but I evidently I was wrong or confused. I have a lingerie/club wear store which I am developing with OSCommerce but I also want to add adult novelties to my inventory but I do not want to have them in my clothing area for various reasons (one I feel for legal reasons I need to put a adult warning on the page where it is unnecessary for the clothing). However, for those customers who want both, I would like to have one cart instead of 2. I thought the Virtual Mall would be the answer based on a topic here but after looking at it further last night we felt like that wouldn't fix the problem. Are we wrong? Any suggestions? Is there anything in development that would help me? I will soon go live so if I can fix this now I would like to. Thanks!
Guest Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 you are still going to need 'two stores', one will contain just clothes for non-adult oriented, the other will contain adult and clothes together., can be done with one database and two domains, preferrably on the same server/host ip address
VerySinful Posted May 20, 2004 Author Posted May 20, 2004 you are still going to need 'two stores', one will contain just clothes for non-adult oriented, the other will contain adult and clothes together., can be done with one database and two domains, preferrably on the same server/host ip address Can this be done without a add-on or will I need to install something else? My domains are on the same server in the same account (it's a shared account, in fact the only difference is one is .com and the other .net and how they are set up on the server). Plan to use the same database, etc. and would want 2 seperate stores. I guess my main question is can I use one cart for both?
