billybrag Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 hi is there a way that i can wipe clean a catalog as i have put in a few dummy products to test and now i want to delete them in as safe a way as possible without breaking everything, and without doing it in the admin panel thanks in advance unless noone helps ;) "because it'll hurt more"- the greatest film of all time?

johnk Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I emptied all the databases and the program crashed. Obviously I wasn't meant to empty "countries" and a few other tables. Yours is actually a very interesting and important question because we all want to do it eventually. Hopefully one of the developers will read this and tell us which tables we should leave alone, or alter rather than empty. The only way I could recover from the crash was to completely re-install the database which was a complete waste of time. If it's in the docs, I missed it.
