osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Hi,

I have been trying to set up osCommerce to interface with my ISP's e-commerce widget. They have supplied me with the necessary scripts, but these are designed for inclusion in pages coded from scratch. I would like to modify osCommerce to pass the required information to the ISP's system as osCommerce already carries out most of the functions in the ISP's scripts.

I have been investigating 2 methods.

1. Modify the cc payment module to pass the necessary info the ISP's system. However, my understanding is that the cc module stores the credit card and order info in osCommerce's back end database and there is no built in mechanism for passing info in the desired manner. Is this correct? If so, the second option might be the easier:

2. Download and modify a contributed payment module, in this case the NatWest Fastpay module. However, I have enabled this in the Admin >> Modules page, and I find that there is no option for inputting payment details during the checkout process as there is with the cc option. I suspect that osCommerce simply passes all order details to the ISP's system for processing, and the input of credit card info is done using pages supplied by the ISP or merchant provider. Is this correct?

Any guidance on adapting third party code for use with osCommerce would be much appreciated.

More detailed information provided on request.

Thank you.
