question aboiut categories-tablerows

I want to create a new categories-tree for my osc, but i want to backup the old one before doing this.

 

my question's now, which tables i have to backup for this. i know that i have to backup categories, categories_description and products_to_categories. Now i want to know if there are any other tables which include information about the categories, or if there are any other tables which are linked with the categories.

Hi,

 

I searched through the SQL file used to load osCommerce, and yes, those 3 tables you mentioned appear to be the only ones where categories are used. However, as a full database backup would only take 1 or 2 minutes (use MyPHPAdmin). you would be better to backup the whole db.

 

Then all your bases are covered. :)
