Guest Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 This is a dumb question, my apologies. I'm getting a dedicated server which comes with osCommerce installed. I will be hosting multiple client websites on the server - will I be able to create multiple unrelated shops with the script that's on there or will I have to do some kind of new install for each one? I have a long way to go with learning about this but wanted to get a general idea of what's going to be possible... Thanks!
burt Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 It would be best for you not to use the already installed Oscommerce (probably via the cpanel) ?? Always an out of date version. You would be best to set up a hosting account for each client (obviously!), and then grab the MS2 version from this site. Upload and install seperately for each customer. You can then make changes to each customer (extra contriutions, design changes etc etc) without having to worry about other customers being affected.
