parse error

ok i have my front page the way i want it, i have several places where i have written standard html here ,so i know where they had text and i can add text in there.if i work tru ftp i have no problems,but if i change my catalog/includes/langues/english/index.php file in the admin /tools/files control panel even if i just remove the word standard i get parse error any idea why this is? i have back up copy of index.php so its no hugh problem but it perplexes me

if you are going to post parse errors without giving the line of code that is bad, we can not help you. post the codes, before and after, then someone can help you.

oh well i didnt know it mattered stupid me i dont understand what happened i hate working tru admin i dont have any problems if i ftp it over i replaced the bad doc now so i guess we will never know i just wondered if someoneelse had a similer problem

dont edit the pages via the admin, download, edit then upload
