bobthelucky Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 well i think you need to go to yoursite.com/osCommerce/catalog to access it and see front page then to get into the control panel option go to yoursite/osCommerce/catalog/admin that is where u can start making chages to site hope it helps u
Guest Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 without knowing what you did for installing, etc hard to say. put part of your configure.php here and someone can tell you what may be going on.
mikrodoctor Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 All I have done is make a dir on server called comersus. I didn't know how to unzip inside this folder. The server is Linux and right clicking the zip file I was not given an option of unzipping on my server just local. I unzipped to a local folder, than ftp to the server. The dir on the server look like they do in the instructions. I defined permissions for the database folder and the comersus.mdb file. than I open my browser to www.mysite.com/comersus/backofficelite. I get page not found. If I remove the backofficelite from the url I see index of comersus. Thats all I have done. The doc's at least as far as I got does not mention any thing else about configuring.
mikrodoctor Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 Checking the files for backofficelite. I do not see a file just called backofficelite. That would explain not find file.
Guest Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 an mdb file is microsoft access, not mysql, thus if mysql is not available you will not be able to use osCommerce.
mikrodoctor Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 is there suppose to be a file called backofficelite? If not how will www.mysite.com/comersus/backofficelite work?
