modena360 Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Hi All my images are missing after restoring my database to an earlier state. In the administration panel it says 'IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST' for all products, but I can still see the original filename of the file that I uploaded before. Does this mean that when you do a backup of the database, the images are not saved with it?? Where do these images get saved to then??? Any ideas please..... Thanks
Guest Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 the images are not saved with the database, only the database information which has pointers to where they are located in reference to your store. you have to physically backup the images on your own. it may do you well to understand a bit about a database, go to mysql.com and find out what the database does.
