Hi,

I have one very general or might be stupid question. I have installed OScommerce on my computer (local) and its running well. I have one question. During installation I wrote 'localhost' as my "www.your-domain.codm". Now I have purchased the Domain name www.xxxx.com. Now do I have to reinstall the oscommerce with 'xxxx' as my new http server "http://www.your-domain.com".

OR I just have to copy the catalog folder that I developed earlier on localhost to my webspace.

Thanks

You can just copy your files over, then edit your configuration files to point to the right place. Easiest solution if the configure.php file is Greek to you would be to install osCommerce on your server at www.xxxx.com, then upload and overwrite all the files you've been working with on your local machine (except the configure.php files).

If you redo the installation of the database, make sure you backup your current database so that you can upload on the new install. If you have done any changes, do them first before uploading the files, if you haven't added or changed any products, forget what I am saying!

If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
