Hi Wondering if someone could provide some assistance...recently I've taken out a package with a service provider that auto installs O/S Commerce...the difficulty that I'm having...I can access the admin panel and make necessary changes..

however in the literature, it say's that it's only a demonstration model and that none of the facilites will work...

for example if you go to

http://www.lipcrack.com/shopping this is the folder the files are installed to

from the admin panel...the following is a link once you register...but again...it still has the message that its a demonstration model...

http://lipcrack.com/shopping/index.php?osC...323c6f15c4ebb9d

So my other difficulty is trying to work out what link I should use from the main page to access the front door of the shop because the above link is rather long and doesn't seem necessary...

THank you for your assistance...

If you read the text it tells you where to go and how to change it. The only change you will have to make is substitute shopping whenever you see catalog as that is where your store is installed.

Start with #2

Editing Page Texts

The text shown here can be modified in the following file, on each language basis:

[path to catalog]/includes/languages/english/index.php

That file can be edited manually, or via the Administration Tool with the Languages->English->Define or Tools->File Manager modules.

The text is set in the following manner:

define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce project...');

The text highlighted in green may be modified - it is important to keep the define() of the TEXT_MAIN keyword. To remove the text for TEXT_MAIN completely, the following example is used where only two single quote characters exist:

define('TEXT_MAIN', '');

The link you should use is

http://www.lipcrack.com/shopping/

the rest of the link is just a session id and should not be included.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here
