Guest Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Did you manage to get this sorted? and if you didnt plz explain further what you require.
Guest Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Two separate drop menus would have the problem of a country being selected and then a region that is not applicable to that country  I think it would be far better to load the info from the zones/countries table - you could perhaps show the countries list and then refresh 'onclick' to show the regions drop menu - if you like you could match the selected region to your subcategory of choice (by name) - that would be the simplest way for me :) Matti
peterr Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Hi, Two separate drop menus would have the problem of a country being selected and then a region that is not applicable to that country I don't _think_ that Katie has used regions as they are setup in osCommerce. For example: ? Canary Islands ? Lanzarote ? Haria is showing as http://rentholidaycottages.com/main/index.php?cPath=31_40_43 so obviously 'Haria' is still a category (#43), and there would be a number of products linked (children, to use an osC term) to "Haria" If my assumption is correct, then it would not be a problem to select the lower level category, I've done it with multiple levels, in ASP/Javascript and also PHP/Javascript. and there was an example of a multiple one (3 levels) done on an osCommerce site the other day. It's pretty simple in Javascript, see my 2 posts in this thread: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89478 Peter
