Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a mod that supports being able to directly specify if a product is virtual and will not be shipped? I have two problems I need to solve:

1. We have a product that can be sold in both CD and download format. Right now if we enable the download attribute for the product, it will not compute any shipping for the CD+Download option.

2. We have a system where people can donate money to an Open Source project we host, and right now they are getting charged shipping! I need a way to make this not shippable without making it into a download (ie: there is nothing to download :) ).

It still does the shipping, and chooses a minimum weight of 0.1lb (I think that is something in the USPS shipping module).

Setting the weight to 0 would work for simple cases, but it won't work for the case where I have a product that we sell as download only, download+CD and CD Only. The middle one both needs a download as well as shipping applied. So I think what we need is a way to add a new product attribute that indicates if a product is virtual or not explicitly, rather than having oSC assume this value based on whether a download file is attached to the product attribute or not....

have the download as an attribute to the purchase, with it defaulted to the cd and download combo
