throwing a paddy Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 I am very new to this, so please forgive my ignorance. I have managed to add my website name to the homepage and have also added the company logo to what was the table-background-default.gif image, however because the logo is longer than it is high, it is now distorted and squashed into a square. How do I make it so that the logo is the size that it should be? I have also read a few previous threads on changing background colours and beleive that the stylesheet.css is changed to reflect this...i have tried everything, but all I get is a white background..what am I doing wrong???? Please help before I throw yet another paddy!
throwing a paddy Posted May 18, 2004 Author Posted May 18, 2004 I have managed to sort out the background colours...there just seems to be a delay in things when you edit the file, but I still need help on these silly squished up images...pleeeze help
Destra Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 For the images try this contribution Sm,Med,and Lg Images which will allow you to set different images for each part of osCommerce. Also you could try setting one of the image proportions in admin to zero; like small image width 0 and small image height 75. This helps a little but can cause bigger images than you may want. Also using the contribution is good because the other way the full image is loaded and then modified causing your website to load slowly.
bobthelucky Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 also you could take your photo to a image editing software like adobe phote shop and change the size of your image so it would fit, it is quite easy to change image size with no degrading of quality
