dayjay Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 My site is at http://www.getreadyforbaby.com. I created the home page in frontpage and it links to the oscommerce cart. For some reason, if you click on the logo on the home page, which I linked to https://www.getreadyforbaby.com/cart, the url shows up as http://www.getreadyforbaby.com:443/cart/ instead. I notice this in the url on and off while in the cart. Also, I just downloaded the google toolbar, and while my home page and https://www.getreadyforbaby.com/cart has a 0 ranking, http://www.getreadyforbaby.com:443/cart/ has a ranking of 3/10. I get the feeling that's not a good thing, and I have no idea what the 443 means. Any insight anybody can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks
vasttech Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 You only need to secure pages that contain customer info or during checkout. Trying to secure everything on your site will result in a slower site as the server will encrypt everything. As long as you edit the configure.php files OSC will handle the rest for you. That way you only have to say http://www.getreadyforbaby.com. When a customer goes to your site and creates an account or logs back in it will automatically switch to https during this process. Hope this helps you. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
