Guest Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Hi all: There's a way to change an user password and to give it a password of my choice?? Thanks,
Guest Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 why restrict a user on a password? the user puts one in for a reason, it is one they can remember, others cant use their credit card to purchase things. if someone changed my password on a store, i would never go back to the store and would let as many as i know to not ever go there.
Databuilder Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 I have not tried this, but it may be possible to generate an MD5 value and then insert it into the database. An MD5 generator can be found here. There may also be a contribution for this, but I didn't search for one.
Guest Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 OK, that question was issued before finding que "Master password" solution. I maybe need to login on other user's account for assistance on getting his password reseted. Thanks you all...! B)
Guest Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 It is possible to copy and paste your own encrypted password into another row using phpmyadmin :P Matti
