Urgent help needed! Customers can't log in

I just launched my site and some customers have tried to sign up to place orders, but after they complete the sign up form, they can't log in. It keeps bouncing them back to the login page. I created a test account and was able to log in, but as soon as I hit the "my account" button, it logs me out and takes me back to the login page. I tested it before and it worked ok...haven't changed anything in the config that I recall. Help, I'm losing sales because of this!

This configuration parameter looks wrong

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '/');

Looking closer both parameters are wrong

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '/');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'https://xxxxxxx.com');

Should be

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'xxxxx.com');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'xxxxx.com');

You dont need the http:// or https:// part

  • 4 weeks later...

I had the same problem before.

Don't give me wrong, i do not blaming on those template system - but seem it happen when I use the template system.

Then, I installed fresh one osCommerce, and all work fine.

So my shot is... maybe something with config in template system.

I can not spend many time examine this problem, because my need is to have the store online soon as possible. So I better skip template system for a while.

Hope this help a little... :lol:
