search engine friendly links & session id's.

I'm advertising through Overture and I have specific search terms. I want those terms to jump to the product pages on my site. So, I'm using links such as this to jump to product with id#44 on category page #1.

 

http://www.mywebsite.com/catalog/product_i.../products_id/44?

 

This system does work (Is this the way I should be doing it??). However, a session is not started right away, and so if the customer adds something to their cart and then presses the back button on the browser, the session id and the cart appears empty (because the original link with no osCsid is called).

 

Any way to solve this problem? I don't want my customers to press the back button and lose the stuff in their carts!!
