Locked out of admin with SEC login

Recommended Posts

I have a working shop using the SEC contribution. I wanted to create a test shop and database to test adding a contribution. I created the new directory and re-pointed the configure files. I then copied my working database to the new database. So I should now be able to log into the test site and use the spare database. But when I try to login to admin, my password doesn't work. I've tried going to demo mode and using the default test password but it won't work either. I've tried Empty on the admin table via phpmyadmin, thinking it would go back to the default values but that didn't work. Does anyone know what I need to do to get into admin.

Hi Jack,

I just made a new directory for SEC copying other directory, created new database and copied old database to new database, so as to use same settings and password, went to admin to log in and no issues straight in without a hitch.

Thanks for testing that Steve. It seems I had something wrong with my new database. I ended up deleting it and started from scratch and I can get into admin now.
